During the holidays on a road trip with my teenage son, we ended up listening to the audiobook Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by Harv Eker, published about 20 years ago. While the book certainly helps reframe your thinking around money, finance, and planning for your financial future, it also asks much deeper questions.

It invites us to reflect on our beliefs about self-worth, ability, and even career choices — many of which are shaped by the messages we heard growing up, both directly and indirectly. It was a powerful reminder of how early influences can shape our financial mindsets and made me more mindful of the messaging I model for my own children.
