What Is Too Much AI in a Resume & LinkedIn Profile?

If you’ve been involved in hiring over the past year, you’ve likely come across a new trend—resumes and LinkedIn profiles that sound suspiciously robotic. Whether for entry-level roles or executive positions, there's a growing wave of applications that carry a distinct AI-generated look, tone and lists of word salads!

AI & Context Engineering – Understanding How Things Are Evolving

I’ve been following the work of Dharmesh from Simple AI for the past 12 months and consistently find his insights around AI both relevant and forward-thinking.

His recent post, Context Engineering: Going Beyond Prompts To Push AI is an especially thought-provoking read.

It reminded me of the early days of search engines—when basic keyword searches slowly evolved into long-tail searches and eventually to the powerful semantic search tools we now take for granted. A similar evolution is happening with AI.

At one stage, it was predicted that we’d need an explosion of jobs for “Prompt Engineers.” But that’s not quite how it turned out. Why? Because we’ve all effectively become prompt engineers.

Dharmesh introduces the concept of Context Engineering as a natural next step—an evolution of prompt engineering. He describes it beautifully:“Prompt engineering was like learning to ask really good questions.
Context engineering is like being a librarian who decides what books someone has access to before they even start reading.”

This shift challenges us to think more deeply—not just about what we ask AI, but about the frameworks, constraints, and resources we build around it to guide performance and our careers.
